San Diego Chicken meetup and Chat thread

A little later might be better since some are coming from pretty far away. A friend of mine may be coming from Boulevard and I know alot of us have morning chicken/animal/kid chores to do before leaving.
What does everyone else think? I can do 11am but I am nearby so lets figure out what works for us all. Maybe they are early birds anyway! LOL Me on the other hand.....

can't wait!

Yay! And I think noon is a good time. Gives us time to do morning chores, and gives the people from far away time to drive there, but it's still early enough for lunch and games and hanging out.

Oh also, the park is REALLY big, so we need to like post something so we all know which group of people to walk up to lol. Like a post or stake or sign or something lol. The park really is big. Also we should set up away from the dog park part if we have chickens with us.

can you pick a spot and give us a "general" idea of where at the park. Off of a specific street or near ....????
I'm planning to be there around 11:00. So maybe we can meet, greet and eat at Noon?

violet - I will come at 11 too, we can set it up.

Aside from food we will need paper products (plates, forks, cups, napkins etc.) and drinks.
Maybe we should get a little list going and figure who can bring certain things, like entree's, snacks, drinks, supplies and what not.
An umbrella would be nice if there is no cover at the tables and this heat continues. Maybe someone has one.

Are we planning on bringing raffle items or just trading stuff if we want to?

I have included some maps here, hopefully they will help. I have circled in yellow the dog run part, and in red the part where there should be benches and trees. It would be to the left off Washington street. I don't remember if I saw benches and I know there are some trees, but I can bring my Easy-Up if need be.

Is anyone actually bringing live chickens? If so (or not) does anyone mind if I bring my mastiff, she is pretty calm and well behaved, and she doesN'T eat chickens.

I thought I saw chicken (or bird) Monopoly at my local feed store, I could check that out and see if it is what I thought it was. Also, adult Cranium is a super fun game for a lot of people.
