I may bring a silkie and get some "sex" opinions. Also.... everyone when you get to the park look for the giant chicken pinata or at least the older chubby lady trying to hang it up! hahahaha

Hi everyone, I'll be there if I can. I live in the area and would love to meet some chicken obsessed girls. I've been working this week building my coop, kind of pointless when it's so stinking hot! The park sounds like a great place, and I vote for noon, since I have a morning committment for that Saturday, but whatever you choose, I'll try to make it.

Ya this heat has been horrible, I put misters out for my flock, they seemed like they were really having a hard time even in the shade and it was a cheap addition to the run. They are much happier.

Not sure if I'm going or not. My hubby leaves on a trip to DC that same day so it may be a last minute impulse move on my part.

Anybody have (or know anyone who has) any pure female seramas or SQ female silkies - interested in trading for a pair of pure San Diego Zoo strain Red Jungle Fowl or a pair of SQ Old English Game Bantams?
I can take one hen for a pair.
Or.. if you have any potted trees, old bird cages, nesting boxes or wood dog houses you don't need we could do something.


I also have a pair of Coturnix quail, and a pretty serama roo I can trade for whatever???
