Allison, It has been a month since the scruffy hens have been here. I had them quarantined in the garage and would bring them out to play with them. They have been happy. I decided today to let them out since it is so nice out. I walked in and I know that the BO is paying her way. The RIR has been freeloading. NO Eggs from her.

I really would have had my bets on the RIR but the BO has been brawling with EVERYONE. OMG! I have been letting it go so they can figure out the pecking order. Now some of my Buff Rocks which were brought up together are now feuding. There is NO peace right now. I am sure they dust will settle.

You missed the offspring. I brought the new hatchlings to the park on Sunday.

Hopefully, I will see you at the next meetup.

Yeah, I heard you brought the chick. You'll have to post a pic for me. The RIR was my best layer, she'll get back on track. I've never seen either of those birds even peck another bird. They were low in their flock. I guess the BO has seen a window of opportunity and is giving it a shot. You can't blame her for trying!

How many birds do you have? I'm so fascinated with how many different kinds of birds that people keep. I wish you could throw any bird in a flock and they'd all live in harmony. But then, if it was that easy, we'd all be in trouble!!

LoL yeah with 6 hatched and empty shells everywhere they were laying on eggs that were trying to zip so I steamed the bathroom and QUICKLY took the ones that were dry out and put them in the brooder. Now the eggs that are left have a little more room.
