For those of us who have Guineas I have found a source of Proseo Millet or White millet at a local feed store. They are located in Blossom valley off of highway 8 just past El Cajon.

Its just 16 dollars for 40 lbs. FWIW Guineas go nutzo for White Millet. And it is useful for training them to come in for the evening. They have 20 lb bags as well for ten bucks.

I just measured and my coop is 44 feet from my house

Eyeball estimate, it looks exactly 50 feet from my nieghbor's house. I have .49 acre lot, and a spacious lot it is, but I have no where else to put the coop but in the corner with 2 roads and my driveway fence...the car fumes and people driving by all the time...that's not what I pictured living in a rural area...I'm surrounded by 2-6 acre lots too.

Where is the meeting September 13. I'm so tired of the government getting into places they don't belong. Between this and the raw goat milk raids I'm truly frosted.

I'm gonna try to go, and if I get enough time I'll be writing a letter also. Unfortunately, the 50' ordinance has been around and passed for some time so we can't really argue that. Most of us are already not legal when it comes to that so it's better not to point it out IMO. This new ordinance boils my blood, I sure hope we will make a difference.

Do we have a meetup planned yet? I know there is in Norco on Sep 24 that I was going to try to make since alot of people are already gong to that. Do we have another date set for one in Ramona or are they on the same day?

Found out I'm having a boy, due date Jan 13, 2012!

I hope I have enough energy to keep doing all the chicken stuff!
