Thats true... I don't have one (a hubby) anymore and I am enjoying my new liberties (to collect chickens).

Once you exotic breeders get a little more set with your breeding pens, I would love to buy a Cream Legbar hen. (I'm not set up for trios, etc - I just want one.) I want one Swedish Flower Hen hen, too.

I think I need a bigger/additional coop.

I really like the thought of that...San Diego, Chicken Mecca of the West...heh, Chicken Mecca would be such a good name for a website or a coop. I'm trying to figure out what coop name to have-oh, I guess I need about...holy smokes...5 names for 5 coops now...hmmm, sounds like so many until I think about all the other amazing breeds out there :D. Glad there's more Legbars out there :D

Miriam, I may be your girl. I have a friend (not the cheap one) that is looking for goslings.

Nancy

Wow!
I think San Diego is going to be the "Chicken Mecca" of the West!!
No more will we have to send off to the East coast to get cool chickens

I have Tolbunt polish, cream legbars, swedish flower hens, exchequer leghorns, marans and Ameraucanas!

Also I have 10 goose eggs in the bator and getting 9 more (don't ask). I don't want any goslings that hatch, but they will be looking for a home in about a month if anyone is interested.

It's that time of year... I too am going to have a bunch of Cotton Patch Goslings hatching in less than a month, so pm me if you want some. Cotton Patch geese are the sweetest and most gentle geese, but still good watch dogs as they make a lot of noise when they see intruders. Good for families with kids.

Nancy that is AWESOME!!! I really am mostly concerned they go to a good home .
The eggs are from a super nice lady who only keeps friendly birds "no hissing or biting". These guys are Tolouse which get huge - like 26 ibs, and chinese whites.

Oh and your new eggs just arrived from Luanne. Looks like a fabulous packing job! Still need to unpack them.

Miriam, Just let me know when they hatch. I will call this evening and let her know. If I can get my yard together, I may even entertain the idea.

Oh, that is cool. I am hoping they do as well as the last batch.

I have honestly never seen a better packing job. It must have taken me FOREVER to unpack it. Thanks again for hatching them.
