I love this picture, Makes me almost want some of those Leggies. But alas I will have so many different breeds if this current batch in the incubator do good. The list of the grab bag special includes Mottled Houdans, White Polish, Spitzenhaben, Showgirls and a few more. Against my better judgement, I bought another incubator. Fact is: I do not have any better judgement.

One of my mixed chicks is an exchequer leghorn x cochin or silkie roo (not sure which). So far the baby is feathering out black and white, and I have a feeling it's going to be so pretty. I also have a toulbent polish cross that is frizzled. It's going to be a funky looking bird! I want to get good pictures of the chicks but mama hen has gotten much less tolerant now that she's in the groove of mothering. She's not too happy when I try and grab a chick. One startled peep and mama's drawing blood. I can't blame her - I'd be pretty ****** at anyone who scared MY kid.

M a father! Baby Helena was born last night at 9 pm :d I feel like I won't have Timor chickens anymore but I'm so excited! Had never fallen in love sooo fast. And ironically my baby chicka just arrived hoe all100 of them -_-
