So precious!

One of my mixed chicks is an exchequer leghorn x cochin or silkie roo (not sure which). So far the baby is feathering out black and white, and I have a feeling it's going to be so pretty. I also have a toulbent polish cross that is frizzled. It's going to be a funky looking bird! I want to get good pictures of the chicks but mama hen has gotten much less tolerant now that she's in the groove of mothering. She's not too happy when I try and grab a chick. One startled peep and mama's drawing blood. I can't blame her - I'd be pretty ****** at anyone who scared MY kid.

M a father! Baby Helena was born last night at 9 pm :d I feel like I won't have Timor chickens anymore but I'm so excited! Had never fallen in love sooo fast. And ironically my baby chicka just arrived hoe all100 of them -_-

Those ducklings I rescued ended up going to a good home with a big yard and lots of chicken friends to play with right here in town.

I also found out that Bird Crazy also has button quail, you can see them on their live cam.

Someone in the duck forum also rescued a couple of fuzzy ducklings who were also going to be dumped, too.

I hope I NEVER see another duckling dumped like this again. If I do, I will try to hold on to them a little longer to see if anyone can take them. I don't think I could ask Bird Crazy to take any more of them.

I have 2 black copper Marans cockerels that are about 6 weeks old if anyone wants them. Out of 4 chicks, 3 are roos - what luck.

I am having so much fun watching these chicks hatch! So far there are two blue/black Marans, one Black Am x Blue Andy cross and two Ameraucanas. I have Cuckoo Marans & more Ams pipping! I feel like a kid in a candy store...

Wow, what a great hatch! You did good girl!

BTW, I had my first real egg customer. A friends mom called me out of the blue wanting to know if she could buy regularly from me. I told her the price had gone up because I was feeding organic. She was thrilled! Hahaha, it's only five bucks, but I feel so good.

I have feathered out Crested Cayuga Ducklings, if anyone is interested. (At least I think they are cayugas, got them from the feedstore and they had no idea - All black and not that upright, so probably not runners.) Cotton Patch Pairs for sale too.
