I’m conducting another science experiment. The question is simple this time.

Can a person tell the difference between a loaf of bread and a 4x4 piece of lumber?

Let’s find out!
 
OK, seeing as I accidentally revealed the answer, I’ll tell you all.

It’s bread. Everybody was right. Specifically, it is a Pullman loaf.

So, people can tell the difference between bread and wood.

Fascinating.
 
I think the real question is "how's it taste with butter?" Because even if that's an incredibly old 4x4, I'm cutting off a slice and trying it. :p

With that end grain, it'd have to be a very old piece of basically mummified lumber. No sign of saw marks

but for bread, it's bomb-diggity.
