Total "duh" from me... I knew that. I think after typing Marans twice, my brain just defaulted to that again. Yes, she is a beautiful Wheaten Ameraucana!

Gr33nEggers - Hawthorne had pullets and laying age hens when I was there last week.

I was at Hawthorne today and they had lots of chicks and some pullets a few weeks old as well. They where changing the shavings and cleaning the food & water when I was there. They were trying to convince me to take a few home.... I told them I have 19 hens/pullets right now.... and that my husband would notice cute little chicks. I can only sneak in older pullets right now. :)

iamcraftqueen,
I kept getting distracted by the duckings and goslings! So cute! No one told me chicken math included the billed variety...I guess it's a good thing ducks/geese aren't allowed on our property.

I am more and more convinced that 2 or 3 of my chickens are roos. I need to poke around on some of the breed forums, but those combs are remarkably pink/red for 4 weekers. Sigh.

Here are our chick pictures. Will be 5 out of our 8 Bearded D'anvers plus our Ameracauna X Barred Rock. Should be listed as follows:
Andy (roo) Ameracauna X Barred Rock - w/my gorgous hubby holding him. ;)
Nimrod - D'anver blue quail hen
Snowy - D'anver blue splash hen
Inigma - quail ??? wrong comb for the breed. Hence the name.
P.J. D'anver quail roo
Madison - D'anver blue splash hen

Feel free to correct me if I have mislabed any since I'm new to the chick thing.
