. I have a great brooder box about 4x4 p.v.c & 12 " deep. Previously I used pine pellets and that worked quite well. I am going to be away for a week, about 10 days after new chicks hatch and have hired a "chicken sitter". I'm trying to make things as easy as possible for her. I was wondering if I could use clean commercial "play sand" for the babies in the brooder box, or even mason sand (courser)
