    Still kicking the chicken idea around...But some one offered us 2 roosters (3 months old)... We have talked about a tractor type coop...But if we make it stationary and use sand in the bottom will grass still grow through that or does the chicken activity keep the growth down....Will 2 rooster be nice to each other if no girls around?

    Don't plan on any grass. It depends on the temperaments of the roosters or if they grew up together.

    don't worry about any vegetation, they'll eat anything green.

    The two roosters could be good for pets but then you'll miss out on getting eggs. Grass won't grow through the sand. Even if it did make it the chickens would knock it out fast. My three girls literally cleared 50'x50' area of weeds in a week. It was crazy.
