A year ago I got my first round of baby chicks. All more or less healthy and raised with out issue.

Once feathered and outside, I cleaned their baby feeders and waterers with soap and water and packed them away.

Next round of chicks is due next week, from the same hatchery.

Do I need to bleach the plastic feeders and waterers or is another good scrub with soap and water good enough?

I would clean with vinegar. Bleach can stick to the plastics.

I've been raising chicks for a few years. I usually just scrub everything with hot soapy water and dry them well. Some folks prefer a 10% bleach solution for extra peace of mind, but if your first batch was healthy and you cleaned everything well before storing, you should be fine with just soap and water.

I went ahead and washed again with soap and water. Then set everything outside in the sun to dry to add in a few hours of UV treatment lol.

Tomorrow is hatch day and I am EXCITED!!
