3 years

2. What would you rate them on a scale through 1-10 and why
8 good egg layers, friendly

3. What's your favorite "trait" of your sapphire gem(s)? (e.g. their egg laying, their temperament, etc.)
Our latest sapphire gem was the 1st to start laying despite being younger than the others and is a consistent layer (so were my other ones a couple years ago) And they enjoy being handled

4. What do you keep them for? Dual-purpose? Eggs? Meat? Pets? For pets and eggs?

5. Would you recommend this breed to other chicken keepers?
Yes

6. How many sapphire gems do you have?
We have 1 now but have had 2 others in the past.


7. Would you consider getting more in the future? Why or why not?
Yes

This is our sapphire gem that we gave away when we moved (she is still alive) Her name is Jasmine.

Here is our current sapphire gem her name is Gemma (I know a sapphire gem named Gemma )

So I have a 4 month old sapphire gem Pullet and she is currently living with my two Cochins but I’m thinking I should move her in with my egg layer flock instead what should I do ?

Glad to hear. Watch closely, check on her often. Consider doing the see no touch method for at least a week or so. It can be tough to integrate a lone chicken. They can get bullied very brutally. Let us know how it goes.
