Anyone have any adult pictures of these? Just ordered 2 Males and 5 Females. Wife liked the idea of a blue chicken and they seem like they should be productive layers that's all I cared about. Hoovers have like one generic picture of a hen I'm just wondering if they're actually that blue.

Yes they are blue. They are sex links so you will be guaranteed the genders you ordered, however the offspring of sapphire gem hens X sapphire gem roosters will not be blue or sex linked. They have weird color genetics. I had got mine from purely poultry.

I have 5 and they all look like your picture, great looking birds!

So when you say they won't be sex linked and wont be blue what will they be? Hypothetically? Could be any color any sex? I'm not sure I understand what sex linked is and why sex is guaranteed. I do know its the type of bird big egg laying operations use but outside that I know nothing.

This is my baby. She's about 4 and a half months old and just laid her first egg! She's not quite as "blue" as I expected (yes I know the picture advertising them is a little edited lol but Hoover also saw her and said she'd change colors... she has not) but she's still very pretty, healthy, and sweet!

I have a S. Gem, Beyonce! (See author Jenny Lawson for name explaination.) Beyonce basically looks like the picts above.
It is dusk here so can't take an actual pic. Coloring is basically gray and black feathers, pink and black wattle and black comb emerging. I'm new to chicks and she's two months.
