About a month ago we bought 10 Sapphire Gem chicks. I was just reading that they do not do well in hot climates. We live in SE Georgia. Are they going to do ok here?

What 2 breeds do they use to make this hybrid?

I would research those 2 breeds. If chickens have shade and lots of water, they usually do just fine.

I had sapphire gems from Hoover's a few years ago hear in AZ (4000 elevation, temps up to about 100) and they did better than the amberlinks. I don't think they do as well as an andalusian but what would?

We live in a very hot climate and have Barred Rocks- which are related. We use a misting system to keep them cool and they do fine.
