Ok what is up with cayenne pepper and chickens .... I read it some where to feed it to my chickens and it is suppose to help them lay more eggs ... Is this true ??????

Most people consider it an old wives' tale to feed pepper (black, white or red) to chickens and produce eggs or more eggs..... However you will also find those that subscribe to it.

Once I heard a possible explanation that the pepper causes the chicken to drink more water. We often underestimate the importance of good clean water to produce nice big and frequent eggs.

i thought it was a little silly when i heard it and i didnt wont to hurt my chickens so i thought i would ask first ... i am all new at this as you can tell ... thanks for you comment
