Yes, you have to bottle feed baby pigeons like 5 times a day. You won't have that much time with school so I wouldn't try it. I would not show expensive birds at a fair because they could very likely get a disease.

I show my expensive birds at the fair. I started with Komorners which i love. It will be best for you to find a breeder, perhaps one in your state. Purchase a pair and have them shipped to you. Ask plenty of advice from the breeder and take the advice to heart.

If you cannot find a breeder that raises Satinettes close to you it may be best to purchase what you can find and start from their. even a couple of crossbreed pigeons would work. Get used to raising them and familiarize yourself with their care. Breed them for a year or so and get to know that experience and raise your own babies. Then, when you have the time and the money purchase a pair of Satinettes.

It is best to start with what you have available to you and then to venture out from their.

Why don't the PARENTS feed the baby??

There Are Two Different Type Frills . The Modern Show Oreintal Frill Has No Beak To Speak Of. The Classic OREINTAL Frill Is The Older Type Bird That Has A Beak That Can Feed There Own Young. Sattinette Is A Marking Of Both Type . The Two Types Are The Same Breed Just The Modern Frill Has Been Bred For The Short Beak.
