Sav-A-Chick or GroGel Plus B or what??

I saw Save-A-Chick at Tractor Supply last night and thought about getting some for the baby chicks when they get here but I already ordered GroGel Plus B with my chicks. If I give them the GRoGel the day they get here can I wait a day or two to give the Sav-A-Chick or is it best just to use one or another. A friend of mine said her dad gives his chicks sugar water for the first few days he has them. What does everyone else do?

Hi, I think most of us just make sure they're drinking by dipping their beaks and that they know where the food is. Some use sugar water if the chicks seem weak. Good luck with your new babies!

i bought save a chick but ihavent got my chicks yet so i dont know how good it works... For my last clutch of chicks they did fine with water

I have never heard of Save-A-Chick. I bought some vitamins and electrolites at TSC for my chicks. I just put a bit in their water and they are good to go! It gives them lots of energy and gets them off to a good start. I have also added sugar to their water before, that gives them an energy boost too.

Thanks for all the different opinions. I've never had baby chicks before. Well I did but I was a small kid so that doesn't count lol I'm just a little be nervous I guess.
