Saved some ducks, have a few questions.

So glad you enjoyed these pics. :) I enjoyed taking them and I just love to show off my babies.
I have always been fascinated with "interspecies" relationships like this--especially when it's predator and prey animals bonding! Thanks for sharing your wonderful photo's--what a great story. I'm sure you are having the best time with your babies. :):)

Wow.. this is so amazing! I think it is wonderful and it is soooooo darn cute. My little one also snuggled up to mommy cat. He loves soft and warm things so he sleeps with his own little blanket at night. :)

The kittens are all in great homes now but the little duck I named Fido has finally started spending his days in the pond and racing after bugs with the other ducklings and ducks. He does not go into the duck house at night though. He came right back out and followed me inside the house where he went on to drink and eat and finally laid down on my bare foot and fell fast asleep. I will continue to let him in the house at night until the morning when he goes back out to spend the day with his new pals.

I thought it was pretty amazing for him to actually get up on the kittens to sleep.. was too cute for me not to take a picture. :)

It is really something to see the cats treat him like he was one of them. I guess the maternal instinct of the cat was strong enough for her to bond with the duckling.

I am very interested in seeing all your ducks. :) Let me know when you post pics.,

He sounds like such a little doll--I sure wish mine would sleep on my feet like that! They were never real affectionate but they come running to see us now, take treats and nibble on our fingers so that's an improvement. :) Here's my only pic of them together when they were babies. Unfortunately one passed away from some kind of respiratory ailment but the others are doing fantastic. The ducky in a basket is my female crested. :)

This is so cute! I just love seeing pics of ducklings in different situations.. This is really nice. :)

Just wish I could have gotten some other photo's too! But we may end up with a couple more ducklings next year since now we only have one female and 2 drakes. Need more girls--hopefully by then I will have my camera figured out. :p

My baby finally left the nest to live as a real duck.
It saddens me because I really loved having him at my feet all the time and bringing him everywhere I went, but a few weeks ago he looked at the other ducklings and the 3 mamma ducks and he looked at me and seemed to be debating. He turned away from me and walked to the hens who actually welcomed him which surprised me since I was the one to take him out of the egg.

Now he roams and runs around chasing butterlies and anything else that moves and fits in his beak.
I am so happy to see how happy he is and he is loving being a regular duck.
