Say it with me...'I want those free eggs!' Winners on pg 13!

Hi Miss Jayne,
I would love to receive the eggs. I enjoy all of our birds so much and baby them with goodies. We have a little pond which the ducks would enjoy.

I always give extra eggs and birds away to people to help them get started also.

I know there are probably others more deserving and I know it must be hard for you to decide.

God Bless you on what you are doing! Myrna

I'd love to have them. I've never hatched before, but I do have my cousin's incubator at my house right now. We're just getting settled into our new home and we have been wanting to expand our flock for a while now, but that was on hold until we got settled in. We hope to soon start building a chicken tractor so that we can move the chickens throughout our pasture field. Having some ducks around would be great fun for us, as well as all of the neighbor kids! It would be an amazing experience to hatch some eggs - again, I'm sure it would interest all of the young kids in the neighborhood!

There are many others that are surely more deserving of them than I am, but if you did happen to choose me, I'd sure be grateful!

Well, I was going to say I would love them becasue our 4yr DD wants ducks or geese SOOOO bad, after we left the feed store and I told her no, she almost cried! No geese, they would be too big to make a good toddler pet! I had ducks when I was younger, and Oh, how I loved them! If we hatched them out it would be such a sweet gift for the kiddos!

Thats what I was going to say.... and then I read all of the posts, 'send them to so-and-so, they need them.... '

So, while I would still LOVE to have them, and I know my DD would love them, I know that there are people who I am sure need them worse. So, like they said, send them to someone who needs cheering up!

it's totally acceptable to ask for yourself. we are not basing it on that alone. we will be looking at the whole of the answer.

my g'ma always said, "If you don't ask, you don't get!"

I would love to have those eggs to hatch in my almost ready Miss Prissy brand homemade bator and I'm eggcited to get started! My DH has agreed to build me another chicken coop if I will hatch him a few ducks for our pond. At this point I have no idea where I'll find duck eggs!

I commend you for being such a beautiful person on the inside, not just on the outside.

I have not hatched ducks before, so it'll be a learning experience for my family, but isn't that what part of life is, to learn and grow in every experience we encounter? Helping to create a tiny life such as a chick or duckling is one thing, but appreciating life is another. One thing I'm trying to teach my children is to appreciate people and animals that are in their lives. Another is responsibility and accountability - these tiny creatures will hopefully give them plenty of learning lessons (okay, me too!) in these areas. Long story short...pick me, pick me - pretty please??!!
