Sorry to hear you have to part with your chickens.I had to do the same recently.Around 100 I sold.If those are red stars or golden comets what ever you want to call them,they slow off laying at around 2 years old.I don't keep ours that long and 18 months is the sell time.They still lay but about 3 eggs a week or so.They aren't very profitable after that age in my opinion.Good luck to you!
Ahhh.....I'm sorry, we're selling a few of our 18 month olds now and I'm missing them already.....It's hard to do the rotation of the chickens isn't it.... I'd be at a total loss though if I had to let go of all of them....
You could advertise them as great poo spreaders. I love mine, even if they didn't lay an egg because they follow the horses around and when they see a tail go up - phew like lighting they are there . Spread to dust..... LOL
