My daughter found a scab on one of our hens pretty much right in the center of her chest. It looks like an older wound which is healing. Some feathers are missing around this area and the skin appears to be red, similar to a rash. The hens molted over the winter but seem to be done. The hen's behavior seems to be normal, although she does appear to be noticeably thinner than the others. That being said, she has always been the smallest of the hens. At this point I think I'll just monitor her but wanted to ask if anyone had any other thoughts.
