scab? below their vent

i noticed that all 3 of my chicks (which i got yesterday) have lil scabs about a half inch under their vents. i think it might be from the vaccination? or maybe some sort of bellybutton (buttbutton?)? all three of them have it so im not too worried just curious.

any one know?

The little scabs are probably just where the yolk sac was; nothing to worry about.

You should get them onto something other than shavings for the first 3-6 days; some folks use paper towels or even an old bath towel. It discourages them from eating the shavings.

They look happy & healthy - enjoy them!!
