i was also going to say to super glue, but I am sure you know.....not in the cut. Close the flap of skin and then super glue the cut to keep it close. The use super glue at Emergency rooms now. So when my husband slices his finger and probabley could use stitches he grabs the super glue.. It two hour to the ER.

lol at myself. I was thinking of reptile ears, thinking about the membrane, scattered thoughts

well, that is good though, not as much a concern..

Wait don't glue it if it is just the skin peeled, the skin will draw up as it heals and close the gap if you glue the skin back together it can cause an infection and you sure don't want to glue the skin to the meaty part of the neck as skin is only covering the meaty area and it should not be glued together. Hope that makes sense.

I would not use neopsporen it can cause a dely in the skin healing as it will not allow the skin to dry out.

My advice is to just watch and make sure that no flies get on the area and none of the other birds can get to it.

I never use antibitocs unless i am sure they are needed.

Pretty bird i bet it will be back in with the flock in no time.

well, too late, I glued it. I was waiting and as it dried it exposed more , kept shrinking backward. I will keep her inside and if I noticed any infection I will make a small hole to drain. It looked like her skull so I didn't think it was good to be that exposed. She is in my warm dark bathroom.

here is her (?) now, after I glued

the other one is more lively but the one that is worse was curled in a ball when the other was still running around when I found them...

Just a FYI, superglue DOES work well, BUT it burns like HECK. I'd get some veterycin for it. It's a spray on and doesn't hurt and will help heal it up in no time.

I don't know if this will help or not, I have never tried it, but they were talking about it on another thread. This article is dealing w/ humans, but several chicken people have used it on chickens and they have all said it works amazingly well. I couldn't find the thread on BYC I had read it on but here is a link to the idea
