Scaly Ankles?

One of my chickens has what looks like large shingles sticking up on her ankles. It looks like the skin is lifted up.. any ideas?

Sounds like Scaly leg mite, do you have any pictures?

You basically need to keep the feet clean, and use an oil to smother the mites on the legs. Clean out your coop/spread seven dust to keep them from getting to you other chickens. I have heard good things about using natural oil/Vaseline to smother them, and using a bowl/bucket to dip the chickens feet in.

Thanks for the help. The pic you directed me to looked more like scabs. This looks like shingles sticking up.. also it is only one chicken out of 13, if it was mites wouldn't more of them have it? I did have chicken mites in the coop recently but I think they are gone now.
