Scaly leg mites and dosage for ivermectin 1%

Our vet just gave me ivermectin for scaly leg mites. I have to give .3ml orally every 2 weeks to each one of my chickens and then rub a few little drops on each infected leg twice weekly as well. What I don’t know is how long we have to wait until it’s safe to eat their eggs or what to do with the ones we can’t eat.
Do you know how long you have to do that for??

Thank you for the reply!!

I have seen that about Vaseline several times as well. I honestly don’t know if I have the time to put Vaseline on each individual chicken that frequently. I may give it a try. My chickens aren’t laying right now

I appreciate everyone’s feedback! Thank you!

Also wondering, we were "gifted" a pair of silky roos with VERY bad leg mites. They are in quarantine. We treated behind the neck and under both wings but no one told us how many times or if we need to re dose. Do we need to oil their legs as well.
I'd really hate to have to cull them but we are running out of places for them.

So it is safe to put on their legs? My rooster is 20lbs so I did its legs after a soaking in Epson salt and put some on back of neck and under wing. Then did vasoline and wrapped the legs. I don't want to over dose with ivmectium and if I should wrap. How often should I use the ivmectium?
