I was hoping to ask the vet if I can put the ivermectin straight on them.

Ask if it is Ivermectin Pour-on. The name of it is missing from the label. You can buy that at most feed stores.

It's called Boss ivermectin, it's a mix with water variety. It's not permethrin for sure because I have a coop cat and the vet knew I didn't want it at all.

Scaly leg mite damage can take weeks to heal.

Or months...or never depending on how bad the infestation was.
Pics of legs would really help here.

I'm assuming it's the middle one. It is a pour on but I was under the understanding that it has to be mixed with water. I'll contact the vet to find out which one it is.
