Scaly leg mites

Another pair of hands is always better.

I was plucking chickens off the roost one night to clip toenails. The first two were fine and the last one Lost. Her. Marbles. Had everyone else in the coop worked up by the time I was done! Drama queen. :gig
Wait...do I have to clip their nails frequently!?

As they age some will get overgrown. The bigger scratchers they are, the less likely you'll have to worry about it. If you check them now and again you will notice. Just take a pair of dog nail trimmers and nip them off, but not too much at a time. Same with any animal.

So, no. Not frequently :)
