My poor polish has got scaly legs. Poss mites. She's had it since we have got her. We have just been using Vaseline on her. I soaked her feet today in oliver oil and brushed them with a nail brush. Ordered some mite leg spray. Anything else I could put on them to stop them being so sore.

If you will use Vaseline with sulfur (Carbolated Vaseline if you can get it) or maybe even better a Vicks Vapor Rub type jell it will knock scaly leg mites right out. Baby or other mineral oils may also speed new leg scale formation.
I am interested in the tests that your vet preformed to diagnose the absence of scaly leg mites. Scaly leg mites are so small that they can only be seen with the aid of a microscope, similar to the tiny mites that live on human eye lashes.
Oh really. I might try the Vicks stuff then along with the spray. I did not say that she was absent from mites. I'm assuming she still has them and that's why I thought I would try the spray. Good to know about the Vicks. Thanks for that.
My little sablepoot roo had scaley leg when I got him. I did him with the spray every day for the first 3 days then every 2-3 days after that. I've kept it up now doing him and his hen once a week just to be sure. It's been maybe 7 to 8 weeks but it's been so much better since week 3-4 and his legs are nice and smooth now.
Good luck x
