Scan from healing bumblefoot

I hope she does well.
Hello,
I'm fairly new to bumblefoot surgery, and though I had success with my first chicken, who had it on both feet, I'm having some trouble my second one. Her bumblefoot didn't look bad from the outside (no redness, swelling, or limping, but had the black scab), but was very hard and stringy on the inside. I used a biopsy punch to start and removed a hard scab attachment. After that, I was trying to find a kernel, and though I got many hard pieces out with soaking, squeezing, and tweezers, I never found one. After about an hour, I cleaned the wound, applied antibiotic ointment heavily, and wrapped the foot with gauze and vet wrap. I unwrapped the wound two days later and saw a soft, yellow "scab" which looked to me like it was still infected. After more soaking and squeezing, I decided to remove the new "scab" and see what was left inside the wound. I found more hard material that had somewhat come to the surface, but again, I didn't get a kernel. I rewrapped the wound and I'm going to check on her tomorrow. I'm wondering if the wound isn't healing because there's still infected tissue or foreign object. I saw your post about ichthammol, which I have in my medicine cabinet. Would you recommend that I try the ichtammol now, or should I keep trying to soak and treat with antibiotic ointment?
