Scared Keets….

I have 4 keets and they are so scared any time that we are around. They SCREAM their heads off and if I try to handle them they are screaming and panting. When are they not going to be so scared??? Im use to baby chickens and they dont mind being handled. Are keets ever social with humans??

I can't answer, but I can say that my new ones are the very same way. From what I've read, I don't think they'll ever be socialized the way chickens can be.

I hate to say it but slow movements and constant reassurance only goes so far with keets. They are naturally very skiddish. Over time they will get better but frankly if you want to free range them someday be glad they have that built in nature.
