About 6 weeks ago, the hubby and I picked up 6 chicks from tsc. Now I am scared that they are cornish rocks. Does tsc sell meàt birds? I don't have a picture of them right now but they are white with red combs and waddles. Please tell me another type has these features.

Are they enormous (like 6+ pounds), stinky, baldish and eating a TON of food? If so they're meaties...

If on the other hand they are still small (can they easily fit in your hand?), nearly fully feathered (maybe their heads are still downy?), and flying/hopping all around then you probably have some type of white layer or dual purpose (leghorns or plymouth rocks come to mind).

A pic would help us help you super fast!

However, if they are pullets, you don't have to write them off as layers. Rock Cornish crosses will lay nice brown eggs. They're not as reliable as say a Black Star or Golden Sex Link, but they're better than, say....Silkies.
