Well Rash came back yesterday!!!! Huge freakin bummer. Sore throat is gone, whatever that was has gone down to my chest as I now have quite a productive cough, and congestion. Was/am takin the augmentin as prescribed.
Test results monday were:
Neg on the long strep test
positive on scarlet fever but I don't know the window of time (ever/30 days/90 days/a year?)
blood tests said white count was NOT raised
Lupus was negative
just said other blood tests were normal
Rash started coming back yesterday, so I went back to my doc this a.m. and she sent me to a dermatoligist with my test results.
He says it is urticaria (hives) of unknown origin. So another steroid shot for itching, and some new scripts (antihistimes I am guessing).
I dropped them off. I am not totally convinced he has it right. I feel like crap incredibly tired, and have last 5 pounds.
This guy went over the test results and says she had already tested for everything he would test for.
I haven't been to the gym since thur , I am going to try tommorow although with weight loss, seems unneccesary.
This guy doesn't think it was scarlet fever and doesn't think the sore throat is related at all.
So no more sore throat but I sure feel crappy.
he says the increase in exercise is what set it off, once he clears it he does not think it will be back. Says the possibility of finding the trigger is almost impossible.
In the meantime I am now getting all new hypoallergenic deoderant/laundry soap etc.
We never used fabric softner and I will not wear any perfume for the forseeable future. I have follow up appt in 10 days.
This steroid shot was a lot stronger.
So wellsummer what does your anylytical skill say???
