Scary.... Hawk tried to attack ducks

Yea, we had hawks nest in our backyard so we have had a lot more hawks flying around lately. Not the first time they have attacked on the ground though. First time we thought our duck wouldn't make it, there were puncture wounds all over her neck and head. Thankfully she made it though.

Thanks, hopefully the hawk was just passing thru, my male is very protective of the females & he can be pretty feisty he attacks my Pomeranian ( Bacon ) when I take him outside, so if the hawk returns maybe he will scare it off

Ya, he was a rescue & I kept the name he had when I got him.

It seems the only thing that works are crows. I had some kind of hawk circling over my house and my Duckies, which was dive-bombed and harassed by a pack of crows. Haven't seen it again. I will definitely feed the crows this winter!

LOL @ Crows! Got a breading pair in the trees behind my yard and the protect their area fearlessly ..Ima little cheerleader for them!!!

There's a hawk out hunting as I type. Better go chase it away.

I think it was the Red Shouldered Hawk that comes by daily.
