I can't wait for hurricane season to start up. I want massive storms!

Today again is super muggy, they think more bad weather will pop up this evening.

Last night's weather was exciting here in Michigan! There were plenty of great storms with hail and radar-indicated vortices up in the clouds (no tornado touchdowns in Michigan that I heard of). I'm a member of Skywarn, so I spent some time spotting last night when the storms rolled through. There wasn't any hail at our house, but there was plenty of rain and lightning!

Lightning struck a power pole right behind our house around 3:45 am... Our neighbors lost power, but we didn't (still can't figure that one out).

We did get a huge surge here, and the smoke detectors in the house started going off. Luckily, the power company was able to fix things for them before we got yet another storm this afternoon.

but I'm yappin with the weather guy on his blog and loving every minute of it.

they recalled tollhouse cookies because of e.coli so i asked since he's working late if I should bring him some cookies? ha ha ha.

My back porch is FLOOOODED... afraid to go into the basement...it'll have water...definatley it'll have water.

we're having bad storms right now here, chicagoland, it stinks!!! I just had to go out in the storm with branches falling all over to herd my chickens into their coop!

dumb chickens.... my 7 yr old and 3 yr ol dd's herded the ducks and chickens in earlier and then a boom and lightening and they screamed and hot tailed it to the house....

I know...is that cruel for me to think it's funny?

Those great storms in Illinois are headed across Lake Michigan toward the West Michigan shoreline. Sweet!

I havent checked the weather lately here, but it sure seems like it could pour...ack, the past few days have had the most humidity I have seen in a while.
