I have a question. I’m almost done with my run and have one side trenched for buried fence. To tell you the truth that one side with me and the shovel tore my back up. it’s a cat scat mat. I was thinking of doing this around the perimeter of the coop and going 2ft out in width. These are spikes that’s suppose to keep cats away. Think they’ll work for foxes too? Anyone tried this before? Thanks.

Apron might be better, and easier, and less expensive.
It doesn't need to be buried.

I agree with aart. Put an apron around the run.
