So, I thought I'd make this for all our family updates pet and non-pet related.

Todays update is starting like so-

About 2 weeks ago we found out both our chickens were Roo's (yay just our luck!). So we recently rehomed our Splash Orpington "Ducky" and decided to keep "Dinky" our Mutt-Roo.
We love him... but he pecks, we choose to keep him because he's always had a place in our family. We crate him overnight and he never crows of a morning... but this has changed since housing him outdoors.

We are in the process of moving and with 3 dogs, 1 cat, 2 ducks, 1 bird, 2 goats and 1 rooster, we left half (1 dog, 1 bird, 2 ducks) at families near the new house.

But today, while buying Goat Pellets I came across something we hadn't planned on, but the partner was fully on board with the idea.. So, here I introduce our 4 new babies~

A couple of "Day Old Pullets"

Today May 8th -

We moved the babies out into the sun while there is no breeze so they can enjoy the light- I managed to even pop out to the feed store and got some proper food and water feeders for them.

On another note, I gave my boy Ace a haircut anf he doesn't agree with the night chills we've been getting- so I've gotten him a new jacket.

^ Ace - trialing his jacket even though it isn't cold yet. Border Collie x Bull Arab/Great Dane.

Meet the Rest of the Crew. In total we have

And Genie is my current favorite. While I supervised cuddles with the toddler this little one settled on my hand for a roosting nap~

And of course a very proud 2.5 year old - she's a true farm kiddo She's mid-potty training but was prepping for naptime.

Well, I twisted the partners arm and today (Saturday 9th), picked up my newest addition and early mothers day present.

Meet Maddy~ a day old Silkie.

I'll update more photos once home and she's set up with the others (either combined or separated by a divider we aren't sure).

Finally home and we've set the newest baby up with the others under close supervision.

Everyone has officially be named. The two blacks are now Opal and Rocket.

Mothers Day Started the Right Way~

A morning filled with feathery babies and love
Everyone's getting some nice warm sun before the wind kicks in today.
