My dd who is 9 needs to have a science fair project picked out soon, they are due March 2. She wants to do something with hatching eggs, but I am not sure where to go with that. I will be getting some Aloha eggs from Laree so maybe she can do something with that? I would love any suggestions!

Sounds like fun. There's a thread here that had some ideas: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...-help-us-take-a-poll-see-post-22#post_3741459
Good luck!

I'm not sure if this helps or not. I'm working on a Master's Degree and I have a project to see what the relationship may be between laying hens and the amount of daylight, so I'm acquiring lots of data to present as a stastics package.

Perhaps your DD can track the number of eggs laid by a number of hens and figure out the percentage, the average eggs per day or something along that line.

So many science projects are big on graphs and displays, it could be a nice visual for DD to present. And a bit easier than waiting for eggs to hatch.
