Scooting hen

One of my hens a Red Sex Link hasn’t laid any eggs yet but have seen her get low fluff out her wings alittle and scoot across the floor does that mean anyone or she just likes to scoot. My other three are Buff Orpingtons they haven’t laid yet, no light in the coop I figured I let Nature takes it’s course.

Squatting is a sure sign that she’s getting ready to lay.

How old? Sometimes it takes several weeks from squatting before anything happens.

I know it’s funny but she kinda looks like she getting a dust bath in pine shavings.
