Scrambled eggs-til what age?

The chicks(and ducks!) love scrambled egg. I was just wondering if there's an age I should stop giving this to them? They fill up on their 'normal' food first and then have the eggs as treats. Is there ever a point where they're no longer getting enough nutrients/protein out of it?

They can eat scrambled eggs at any age but I reserve them for times of stress for the birds when they need some extra protein or a nutritional boost. Times to use them are when they're sick or during molting or winter when there's few to no bugs on the ground.

I feed eggs that have gotten pecked or cracked back to my girls. One day I came home from work and one of my boys had left a whole days worth of eggs sitting out side in the hot sun, so I scrambled those and fed them back to my girls.

My flock is two years old. They still get scrambled eggs whenever I *accidently* cook too much for breakfast or when I have some older eggs that I want to use up. They're never too old for eggs, IMO.

I scrambled some eggs and put some salt on them and fed them to my chicks and they gobbled them up!!! I gave them a whole bowl full and boy they just LOVED it!

You'd be better off skipping the salt on the eggs or anything else you intend to feed to your chickens. Chickens do not process salt well. Just FYI

Do you feed scrambled eggs to newly hatched chicks and ducks? Maybe add a little cayenne pepper for seasoning (for the adults of course)!

And I really don't have an answer for you. Sand works for chicks I know, but I would imagine that grown chickens would benefit more from larger granite grit. My chickens free range so it's been over two years since the last time I worried about grit.
