SCREAMMMM...Lockdown~I Need Humidity UP

You need to wet the rags and stuff again if its back down to 74, although they can and will hatch at this humidity. Just wet the rags again with warm water possibly placing another rag in-between eggs possibly. Through trial and error (more error than anything) i hatched some baby chicks out a few weeks ago at 85% humidity (a lot more than recommended) but i was guaranteed no shrink wrapping, and since my humidity was that high i went ahead and took eggs out (quickly though) and candled them to see if they had internally piped, and tapped on the egg to see if i could here tapping back (or peeping). Then quickly replaced them in the bator. o and the windows fogging up is normal for the level of humidity.

x2 i always check for tapping. i put it touching my ear. sometimes you feel it better than hearing it.

I pointed a small and not very bright LED flashlight to each egg through the incubator window. After about a minute, they would usually start to wobble a little bit. They must respond to light very well.

I used a cheap stethoscope which allowed me to hear any faint peeping through the incubator walls. As for hearing any ducklings tapping, I had to hold the eggs up to my ear.

Good Luck! I hope yours go 100% smoother than mine did!!!!!!
