Screening Sand

I guess the're talking about SCREENED sand. Which passed through various size mesh screens. To get out trash and get it (sand) seperated into various grades(size of granules) Extra fine-Coarse. You want to stay with the medium to coarse .Fine can be too dusty and blow.My thoughts...cva34

I screen my sand with a cat pooper scooper to get the chicken poop out.

I use pine shavings in the roosting area...

Will screening sand be ok for my run? Confused on what sand will be best....Thanks for any input....Also should I add straw or pine shavings to the sand?.....Thanks again...

According to the construction company I'm using there is something called Rock screen sand. Apparently it's easier to rake out than coarse or river sand. It was described to me as fine Rock Dust pieces. It is about $15 per yard more expensive than construction sand and $8 more expensive than river sand but of course that depends on where you live. But that's all I know about it
