First off, I don't own 5 chickens......I have 70 birds to sacrifice for this. I cut the dead bird open to look for the obvious. Necropsies usually are pretty obvious. Mine wasn't. I don't have time to waste calling and leaving messages for labs that never call back and veternarians that never call back. Obviously the labs here in Texas don't take this very seriously until I am out of money and have infected half the world. Then I will have their attention. I cut the bird open hoping to see something obvious and could have been handled today. I have 70 birds and 150 more in the incubator that will also soon be affected......they will all hatch before Christmas and we both know I won't get an answer from the lab by then. So, it looks like I have plenty to give away to this disease. You people act like you know everything but nobody has told me what disease or sickness my birds have. Yall have only listed a bunch of ideas and referred me to other people who don't answer their phones.
I am ASE Master Certified for Automobile Technology and currently in college again for Heavy Duty Diesel Technology. If you asked me a question about gas/diesel vehicle technology, I would gladly answer them with more knowledge than anyone you have ever met. I am looking for someone with the same knowledge of chickens to do that for me. But the only people on here blogging anything know nothing about my situation. And part of diagnosis involves asking questions about my birds symptoms, and then asking me to check certain physical aspects of the bird for certain swelling or discoloration. No one has asked me any of that, but I have gotten many answers....So, I will ask, instead of just assuming...........please, if you don't know anything about chicken disease or chicken biology, please don't answer my questions. Don't just answer questions because you can...........
People at Autozone will be glad to inform you of what is broken and what is needed for your vehicle.....Do any of you want to go there for their diagnosis on your vehicle? This is the biggest of the chicken inthusiast sites on the internet involving chickens. So, it would safe for me to assume their are some prominent people on here who have degrees involving the biology of chickens and medicine. Those people need to step up and speak.
