Oh Brandon! She's a pretty little lass! I can definitely see why you fell in love with her and had to bring her home. Personally, I love the RS. I've had six of them in the past, and if I had the room, I'd certainly get me some more of them. So what if they're a sex link? They have some of the sweetest personalities of all of the birds I've ever had. I'm sure you're going to grow to love and enjoy Betty's company more and more, as time goes by. They really are very friendly birds.
Jeff, you completely crack me up!
I can so hear that exchange between your mom and Lowell!
Kathy, those babies are cute little fuzzy butts! I sure hope you find your good camera soon. No offense, but the camera you're using now ain't a patch on what your other camera can do! I guess we all got a bit spoiled by the quality of your good camera. Find that thing woman! Quickly now! Much more of pictures like that and I'm liable to go cross eyed!
Well, I suppose since the sun has been down for nearly an hour now, I should go out and retrieve Goobey from the covered run and put him to bed. He was being a total toe rag tonight. You know the routine of these young boys: Harassing the living daylights out of girls, who just want to lay down their burdens of the day and go to sleep.... Givin his daddy a hard time..... Over which his daddy gave a good thumping to tonight as a result of it.
I was so proud of Chief!
Though, if I had my druthers, I'd rather Chief not have torn the living bejeebers out of Goobey's comb. Long story short, the whole incident was enough for me to toss Goobey out the door of the coop and lock his silly butt into the covered run until the girls could all calm down and settle in for the night. Poor little toe rag is still out there. I'm sure he's completely penitent by now! That little man is just slightly scared of the dark, you know.
So, I'm off to get the Goobey brat, check his comb, do any doctoring that he might need, and put him to bed. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Labor Day weekend. I'll catch up with y'all later tomorrow!
PS. New pictures of the house progress coming soon!
