So I have an infection of the respiratory tract. Well no duh! I received a very horrid shot and hubby has gone to get the other antibiotics, I had a chest xray and now he wants a CT scan for a calcified lymph node I have had for 2 years....I swear these docs are blood sucking crooks. I have to go back tomorrow...now tell me what difference is 12 hours going to make? *whining stopped*

I told Cyn earlier that I found dried blood on Lancelot's spurs one just a spot but the other one was covered in dried blood. I checked the girls, the cat, the ducks and etc and could not figure out what he hammered, when I got back from the doc's office and went to lock everyone up....I found what he hit with that spur...Orion. Somehow Orion must have gotten into it with Lancelot through the wire of his little coop inside the coop. Unfortunately I could not save Orion.

Oh no! Sorry to hear that, LH.

And another thing, lady..... you need to pipe down about those doctors. They are trying to help you! You a stubborn ol' wench. Now, behave yourself and listen to them!

Anyway, I sure hope this infection passes quickly. You are surely worn down to the bone by now. Sheeesh, you have had enough! Take it easy and get some rest. (Ya, like that is gonna happen!)

Funny thing, I went to the doctor's yesterday.....haven't been in a few months but still having "issues" so off I went. Had the nurse practitioner instead of the doctor. She is training a new lady. She says "We went over your chart and has anyone ever mentioned you having such and such?" And I said, Well I've said for years that I had that but they said the test came back as a NO. And she looks back at the chart and says "no, according to this test you DO appear to have this".

Um, hello. I took those tests like.....MONTHS AGO. How did nobody notice? Sigh.

Busy day here today. It is day 7 and I am going to repeat Permethrin treatment. This time I am using the dust. Actually, I might use Sevin dust. I am also hatching. F2s day 21 begins at midnight. Already have 5 out......... all are black.

Hope you all have a great day!

You tell that dang Lancelot that he just dropped a few notches in Auntie Amy's opinion! There was NO need for that! Orion was NO threat to Lancelot or his ladies or his standing with said ladies thereof!

Shame on him!! Yes, I know. He was just doing what is natural for a head rooster in his position. But still the same, I expected better and more noble attitudes from Lance. Poor, poor, poor little Orion.

How are Orion's girls LH? Are they distraught at the loss of their man? Poor little girls. It's all such a shame.

And poor you! You simply didn't need to come home to that!

Please, my dear friend, take it easy on yourself. Get some rest! It's time to lean on those around you to reciprocate some of that staunch support you constantly show them. Let Bill and Cheyenne carry some of the load. I know, I know....nobody will ever care for your animals the way you would yourself. But if you don't start taking better care of you, it could come to that! And I know you wouldn't want that!! Right? Right! And I for one sure as he|| don't want to see things degenerate to that point!!!

Well, we made it to the half way point of the duplex coop addition onto the main coop yesterday. It's looking gooooood! I can hardly wait to finish it today and get the boys in along with Goobey. My only problem at this point is that tomorrow is opening day of muzzle loader Elk season. That means that tomorrow, and for the next week, I won't be home during the day. I may have to hold off putting all of the spare boys in their new home until after ML Elk season. I want to be home to observe their interaction with each other. One never knows just how these things will go....................I will not tolerate lethal, life threatening bloodshed!

I am sorry about Orion - boy, he must have hated Lancelot back if they fought THROUGH a fence and it was that bad. But I echo everyone is saying SLOW DOWN and take care of yourself, LH- What will Jo do if you end up laid out flat?????

I think Doctors and nurses are overworked and if they miss things on charts its from sheer fatigue. Or maybe I am just saying that because I am tired all the time and miss things because my brain wants sleep.

Beth, I don't think it was through the fence.....I think orion escaped and that is why the fight was so severe. I've had some near death rooster rumbles.....those boys don't like to give up.

Kathy, the girl in that pic reminds me of one of my nh girls.
