On that dropped wing issue, I've noticed that with 'Milio from time to time. It's not a continuous full time thing. I think a lot of it depends on his frame of mind. If he's relaxed and just kind of hanging out with his girls, then he lets his wings droop down. Or if it's a really hot day. But when Goobey or Chief comes near him, it's like he snaps to attention and the wings come up right and tight. So, maybe it's more of an indication of their frame of mind? If they do it all of the time, then yes, I'd say it is a deformity of some kind. Otherwise...........

Might it be some form of body language?

Hers is all the time.

Is that the same pullet that had the bad mite infestation by any chance Mrs. Kathy? If so she may not be quite feeling up to snuff or there may be other complications that resulted from the mites like anemia as the blood loss is just as bad as them being ill froma worm infestation too or might have gotten here resistance down a little and some other type bug/illness has her feeling outta sorts maybe.

No, this pullet is from my youngest pen. She has always had this problem. I also have one (with the BEST hackle markings, of course) in the older pullet pen. I do believe this is a hereditary issue, and I really need to do some single matings to find out who is causing this problem.

I have this girl. Not sure if its an actual issue or just her wing not folded right after flapping her way up the steps.
