Please think good thoughts for Smoky. She is still standing very tall, head bowed and twitching a bit. She seems very tired, but won't sit. I'm hoping she makes it, but if not, I know there was no way she'd have lived the way she was. Better to go sooner like this than to starve to death slowly. Poor girl, she's being so sweet.

Beth, that $2500.00 (I re-checked) was end of season collection for 2010 for frozen semen. I would still have storage at Hagyard's , ovulation checks and fertilization with a hospital stay so it will hit $4K fairly easily. LOL. But they are still live foal guarantee on the late season collection so it is not too bad. I think the babies of Odyssey and Diva Do are worth it, even if baby stays with me as a spoiled Diva or handsome stud muffin. I would like to see Jo as a mother at least one more time, maybe two depending on her of course, her health and well-being are first priority to me.

She is still hanging in there, not sitting down yet. She seems a bit more alert, wants me to give her water from the syringe, though there is a nice bowl of water raised up so she doesn't really have to bend down much to drink. I think if she recovers, she'll be a changed woman, a kinder, gentler Smoky. Well, we can dream.

She is a beautiful hen, makes gorgeous babies, but she is a unique personality around here, to say the least. Suede needs his blue girl!
