Silk is looking as lovely as ever! I sure hope Valentina is gonna be okay. Darn it!

Beth, Did you read in the SOP on Orps? It says: Face: Clean cut and free of coarseness.

What does that mean?

clean cut to me means shaved. No beard and mustache. SO maybe feather free? Hey Waaaaaalt, here I come. . . . . . .

Just came back from buying and loading a cord of wood in DH's truck. Thank goodness the farm that was selling it was only about 3 miles down the road. Truck was loaded to the top of the back window, front to back and side to side. Best deal I could find around here, almost a cord for $120. Nice aged oak, maple and sourwood. Prices have skyrocketed since I last bought any. Most folks are selling a full cord for about $180-190. Came home, took off my jeans to change back into shorts and there was a black widow on the bathroom rug that had ridden home with me, apparently on my jeans. I saw several near the bottom of the stacks and shook them off, but guess one wanted to go for a ride. Will unload it tomorrow (if we can even move!). I smashed a finger so quilting will be rough for a few days. Ouch!

Oh sheesh Cyn...I hate widows. Need my little torch to cook her?

I am mentally exhausted and physically tired....have my truck back with a new axle...have spent the day in deep unhappy converations with DH and the lady we are buying the house from...*sigh*why do people make an agreement and at the last minute get greedy and change the plans? Now the interest rate she wants is 7%. I need bath a shot, a hot bath and sleep.

I can think tomorrow, I am done for the day.

Wood costs that much? Talk about burning money!

Brock (DS) bought a chain saw and started cutting some of the dead trees in our timber. He had planned to sell it all before winter. Maybe I will go do it myself!

Cyn to bad you live so far away. CL here $50. At that price it would be cheaper to buy the gas to drive up here and get it. If I had a truck I could come down and make a few bucks.

Remember, Kathy, my DH has degenerative disc disease. We have a chainsaw and acres of woods, but this way, we can stock up wood without rushing to get done before winter. Takes lots out of him to have to get in our winter's worth of wood from scratch. We had no surplus from last winter left over and we heat exclusively with our soapstone stove.

LH, call me tomorrow.

So, how much wood does it take for one winter? I work with a lady that has 80 acres she wants cleared. People are free to go out there and cut as much as they want .... to use or to sell. I wasn't thinkin .... I guess that is really ALOT of work, isn't it?
