Hi, all. Reba is hanging on, but can't stand up. Her abdomen is dragging along behind her. She still can fly up to a roost, though. She avoids the little roosters as much as possible.

Nugget is starting to cut the apron strings on her little Dellie man. She kept food away from him today-should have seen him chasing her in a tight circle, trying to get a piece of banana from her mouth. Also, she asked to be picked up and snuggled today by Tom, not at all something she does when she is mothering her chicks. He is 8 weeks old on Sunday. I think I may be able to send him to his new home within a couple of weeks if she keeps going this way. I'm debating which coop to put her back into. If Suede's wasn't already pretty full up, I'd put her in there with his others, but I may just put her back in with Shadow, Sunny, Reba and the D'Anvers. I will not be putting her in with Rex or Isaac.

Am binding Ranee's quilt now. Finished two sides, pinned a third and quit due to a knot in the middle of my back.

Hope you feel better soon, Janelle.

Going to Golden Corral in Cleveland, TN tomorrow for breakfast and to Hobby Lobby across the street from there in honor of our 36th anniversary on Monday. Weather is supposed to be beautiful after a cold start whereas Monday, it will be rainy and colder. I keep looking in the mirror and I just don't think I look like someone who has been married almost 40 years! Seems impossible.

12? Don't you mean 5??

Somehow, my little broody Boo's egg got knocked out of the nest box and onto the floor today. It was not real cold and did not crack. I held it up to my ear and it yelled at me, so hopefully it will survive from it's fall. I tucked it back under Boo and she, of course, yelled at me. Monday is hatch day.
