Kathy,

What are you using to get the Buff Barred? I've got a similar project going on. Mine aren't old enough to breed yet either.

Well Nella I hope things improve. I hate to say it but, you know it's one thing if a lazy person gets down, cuz they don't do anything anyhow, but when a busy active person gets down it's just not fair. I'll say a prayer and keep my fingers crossed for good measure these things pass quickly.

Part of the reason I logged in is to say the new replacement chicks SFH's arrived late but safe and very SOUND. If you know what I mean. I moved the first batch of chicks to the back room and they seem fine. I always keep the new chicks in my office so i can keep an eye on them. I keep them on paper towels for a few days so I can monitor their poops. They never disappoint me by not leaving lots of poops. I can just imagine their little thoughts now. "here he is again everybody eat and poop"..

DW pretends she doesn't care but she's the first to sound the alarm if any thing seems wrong. "one of the chicks doesn't look good". "boy that one chicks is bossy". She can't fool me.

LH, sorry I didn't call you back yesterday as I had planned. Somehow, I just couldn't find a spare 3 hours, 49 minutes and 48 seconds (the duration of our conversation the night before

) to do so!

Kathy, I love the looks of those barred buffs! I sure hope you will keep them and post pictures often of their progress. Those are gonna be some beautiful birds when they mature! Oh yes indeed! Very pretty!

I so wish I was in a position to put my bid in for a few Miss Olive eggs, but alas, we're full up, out here in the pump house, for the winter!

Kathy sorry I didn't mention the Buff bars but there are just to many breeds. Lord have mercy I don't need another one.

Now are you trying to make a "bar" type? Like the Legbars and Rhodebars, etc. etc. ?

Nella, hope you are OK, it is never good when a doctor wants you to come in and discuss things.
